How to plan an unforgettable hens party in Sydney

How do you organise the perfect hens party? We asked Sunny, our Party Planner Extraordinaire to reveal her top planning tips – and she would know… She’s arranged parties for 100’s of hens every year!

Did he just pop the question and you are now finally the one thats newly engaged?? With that said… lets get the party started!

The date. Any suggestions?

Set the date — shoot for a weekend night at least two weeks before the wedding. If members of the bridal party are coming from afar then this works for everyone.

Another good idea is to get the invites out at least a month prior to the date!

Who to invite?

“It’s always a good way to get the ladies to bond and get to know each other before the big day and the hens party is the perfect time to do this. A smaller party is ideal – close family and friends and of course the bridesmaids!!”

What to do?

“Most brides want their hens party to involve a good party and probably a little bit of naughty drinking. The most popular evening activities are a comedy club, cabaret or strip show and then onto a nightclub. The Men In Uniform package for example, puts all of those brilliant activities together in one venue, to make it easy for you and give you just the right mix for everyone. You could also consider some day time activities  – a girly spa day, beauty treatments or afternoon tea – to make the bride feel really special then head into the city on a Party Bus!

A week before the party:

“If you are going for a bit of a hens night club crawl then confirm the itinerary. Always start with a dinner venue – no one wants to drink on an empty stomach. With the venues, many hens think the more you can squeeze in the night the better. Not the case – we suggest 3 at the very most. The best fun is always had on the actual bus.

Book your transportation early as most other people are partying during Year 12 or Year 10 school formal season, and most bus companies only have 1-2 buses. Lucky for us we have 10!!

And last bit of advise i can give you is get plenty of sleep!!” :)
